After some consideration and words from collegues , i have demoted the title “American Standard” to a project name. We will be thinking of a new name as the album release date nears closer. Until then, call us whatever :D

I have been having issues setting up the studio. Luckly the computer is all in check, and i have a off board brand freakin new ( well, practicly ) 8 track digital for polish. But the damn midi controller i have had for weeks is a peice of shit and had to be dealt with… properly

Poor thing never saw it coming… I even hurt myself in the process, which would have been cooler if i was performing, but alas, i am still a freaking nerd.

Anyways, at first i thought my cable was dead. so i bought a new one, and somthing went wrong on ebay, so  i had to buy another. Once that one got here, i realized my keyboard had went tits up and i went ape shit on it.

So there you have it.

I currently have another one on the way, and still have a handful of songs being slowly worked on.

I will be posting them as ‘drafts’ as soon as i have something to show.

AS is born!

As of the last few weeks , i have decided to begin this journy . Titled ‘American Standard’ as a form of mochery to the youth thought process in america, AS plans to ruin the teenage bubble, and destroy the main stream ideals and princables of western civilization.

As of now, AS is in conceptual mode. I am working on material, peice by peice, and hope to be able to release a single/demo soon. Though quality wins me over quanity, i am not sure when this date will be set.

We will placing songs up as drafts, allowing for folks to comment on what they do and dont like. And want to include some fan remixes in the debut single release. At that point, i am hopping to start a small string of shows in the Southern Oregon area, where AS will be a supporting act, but a runner of live events. To hopefuly gain exposure and give other musicians in the area a chance to see/hear what AS is all about. No recording can give a live performance justice.

AS style is to be set primarily in industrial, and rock. With a hybrid flavor of Static-x meets Nine Inch Nails. But we will see – some sounds never sound like there influences.

We will be posting soon
